Whatever Wednesday

It's been a while since I did a Whatever Wednesday post of random thoughts, so here...we...go!

I have been playing a lot of Tomb Raider lately. "Legend" is my game of choice this week. I have been going back and playing levels over so that I can find all the artifacts and open up new outfits etc. Escapism is my favorite hobby!

My calendar at work says yesterday was the full moon, but my calendar at home says today is the full moon. If the skies stay clear tonight, I will have to see which one is right. My bet is on the home calendar.

I do everything a supervisor does but I am not technically considered the sample lady's supervisor. HR calls me to see if she can use help, TAP calls me to check on her performance etc, I answer all of her questions and troubleshoot any issues she is having etc but when they cut her hours, does anyone tell me? NOPE. Of course not. I mean, why should I be told about that important piece of information?

Headaches. I have them more often than usual lately. I think they are stress induced. I have many of them while at work. Hmmm...curious.

Lots of people getting shot or shooting other people lately. Alabama and Germany are two headliners today on MSN. I guess things are getting worse before they get better.

Not to downplay the previous random thing, but I have this fantasy that when anyone (especially the college kids) in my complex comes in with bass blasting so loud I can feel the rumble in my apartment (and then they leave their car running and blasting for 15 minutes while they run inside) that I will rip open my window, stick a rocket launcher out the window and shoot it at the car. Big explosion. Cheers from the neighbors. No more "bass boost"!

Finally some sun today. I was all excited that the Spring ahead clocks would allow me almost an hour of light now when I get home from work, enabling me to start walking. The last few days have been rainy and yucky, but today it is sunny (though a bit colder)so I can walk when I get home. :)

Chantal, if you are reading this, you need to check out my answer to your comment on the last post. A jokerized letter made only of Joker Quotes...you will LOVE IT!:)

Well, I see what a well placed post garners in comments! I could barely even watch 20 minutes of the debate last night. I guess that's part of why we are in this mess, people don't care to try to engage themselves and educate themselves. EVERYONE should be paying attention to politics and our government. If you are not, you can't blame anyone but yourself! My excuses are my own downfall and I take responsibility for my actions or non-action.


My Halloween Costume is coming along nicely. I would say it is a hybrid of the evolution of the Lara Croft Outfits from the game. Hopefully I won't run into any TR purists Halloween night because I am working with what I have and making some adjustments for cold Fall nights here in Upstate NY.



Let me rant in a cryptic way for a moment: Thanks! So glad I have been busting my ass for this place. Economic and business situations aside, that was a slap in the face. I guess I know what my future holds and what my next move is. I will now have a laughing fit over this and think of all the possibilities that could come from this one piece of knowledge...

Random Thoughts, Random Realities

Spoke with my downstairs neighbor last night. She is moving to Florida this winter. Should be out by Dec 1st I guess... I hope I will be lucky enough to get a good neighbor and not a couple with a child/children or one of the more frequent college student groups that I have seen moving in recently. Keep me in your thoughts this fall and hope that I get a good neighbor(s).:) God! I sound like an old lady! It's just during the week I like to have quiet after 11pm so I can get some sleep which helps me at my JOB so I can PAY my rent. I don't think that is too much to ask. Oh and a Sunday afternoon nap on the couch in front of the tv is nice sometime too! Just sayin'.

I believe that N.E.G.S.S. will be posting some more stories this week. Just this morning I ran into a suspicious looking Chipmunk on my stairs outside my apartment. He snuck in through the open door this morning as someone was leaving the building somehow. We are on code yellow right now, but I see code orange by day's end if his intentions are a reconnaissance mission for the enemy. More information to follow.

Had dinner with Chantal and Susan last night. We went to a well known local Irish Pub for dinner and drinks. It was funny because I had been there on many occasions to have drinks, just never dinner! It was really good, and Susan and I were on the same wavelength b/c the Guiness was yummy! We had so much fun chit-chatting and laughing as usual. My favorite quote of the evening was when our food came and Chantal made the observation that " Everyone ordered a meal that uses a different utensil!" Classic! Loved it!

It's the Week of Surprises! The Week of "Where they HECK did THAT come from ?"

You know, those things that creep up on you when you least expect it?

• Understanding that EVERYONE thinks the BLOW's Managing style is obnoxious and makes people that work for or with him want to quit. (because it came out of the President's mouth and EVERYONE laughed...)
• The compliment from someone who never gives compliments
• The other shoe dropping (thinking maybe you were right and you CAN'T handle this job)
• Being contacted out of the blue (AGAIN!)
• Your hair looking amazing (no matter if it is filthy dirty or freshly washed) and you have to do NOTHING to it to make it that way!
• The Soundtrack you found that was a limited release and it is now on the way to your hot little hands.
• The realization that your boss is actually behind you 100%, and that you are handeling this job FINE.
• Looking at the clock and seeing that it is 4:57 p.m. and wondering where the heck did the time go?

It's Wednesday already? I can't hardly believe it! Midweek means we are closer to the weekend that when we started right? It's a good thing so here are some random thoughts for the day.

I am excited because tonight is Guitar Hero night at a local watering hole. I am heading over after I get done at the Library tonight to check it out with some friends from work. It should be fun...I am sure I will have an interesting story to report back tomorrow!

This weekend I am heading North to see my nephews and of course my brother and his wife henlib! And don't forget Fudge the D-O-G!!! Not only am I bringing games, but I am bringing "The Prestige" because it's such a cool movie. I am looking forward to visiting and possibly contributing some lyrics, if they don't mind the heavy RHCP influence of late!


Remember HAWAIIIAN PUNCH? I got one out of the vending machine today b/c I am not drinking soda. I really like that stuff but forgot and didn't even know they still made it! Wasn't the tagline something like "WANT A HAWAIIAN PUNCH?" (Punching noise) That's silly and therefore I like it!
