Hey everyone! I wanted to announce that I have officially launched a new blog:

Movie Megaphone

Please check it out and if you can, follow it. It is a combination of two of my favorite things: movies and writing with a little marketing savvy thrown in from time to time. Reiki: To Your Health! (A Teaser)

I had heard of Reiki here and there but never really looked into it until my friend Lura became a Reiki Practitioner.

In 2001 Lura had a thyroidectomy which resulted in surgeon induced hypoparathyroidism (accidental removal of parathyroid glands) & 3 days after surgery she developed fibromyalgia. She has been searching for years and has found that educating yourself is the best medicine. Her story is more common that you may think and through her research she has not only networked with those who share her health concerns but found the art of Reiki to be healing.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

The unveiling of this blog announces that Lura will be practicing Reiki in the beautiful and serene surroundings of the foothills of the Adirondack mountains in upstate New York.

Batman 3 Release Date Announced!

Stumbled upon this little tidbit on the release date for Christopher Nolan's final Batman film

And you know what a release date means Bat-fans!? The storyline is set and they are ready to roll. I guess this means I will have to keep a close eye on Comic-Con this year to see if any nuggets are released by Nolan. Yippee!!!

I hope there is a kick-ass viral marketing campaign like was done for Dark Knight. :)
