Gideon Putnam

I took the following pics on my cell phone while staying over at the famous Gideon Putnam. It was all decked out for Christmas with a tree and GINORMOUS Nutcrackers.

It was built in 1935 and added onto throughout the years. Many famous people have stayed there including Bob Hope, Fred Astaire and Cary Grant! Check out their website HERE.

This was the original Service Elevator, which was cool, but creepy. The wind would howl down the long hallways and I was convinced that this place could be haunted.

I was able to sit by this lovely fire for a bit before we left.

Lamby and I couldn't resist getting our pictures taken with the GINORMOUS Nutcrackers before we left. They were so cute!

Each year Sting sends out a Christmas greeting to his fans. I look forward to this every year (as well as the one Pee-Wee Herman sends out! haha:)

NYC Trip

Lamby, Pinky Anne Marie and I went to NYC with Mom yesterday. Just a day trip to see the the city all decked out. Too bad it rained (and sometimes snowed) the entire time. We were soaked by the end of the day as you will see below.

Even though we were wet rats, it was fun. While re-inacting different scenes from "Elf"...we saw some great windows (yay! Henri Bendel!), Grand Central, Trump Tower, Rock Center tree & skaters (even in the rain!), St. Pat's Cathedral, Saks 5th Ave, and had a great meal at a little irish pub off 7th ave.

Here are some pics of our excursion:

Grand Central

St. Patrick's Cathedral

St. Pat's Nativity Scene (almost life size!)

Trump Plaza Wreath

Rockafeller Center Tree/Skaters

Times Square
