MB Vacation Part 4: Ripley's Aquarium & Horseys!!!

Wednesday Alysa had a long day of dance competition so Erin and I commandeered the Excusion and headed to Broadway at the Beach. This is a complex of shops, attractions and restaurants. It was a hot day and we found refuge in the Ripley's Aquarium where it was nicely air conditioned.

Here I am with a shark swimming overhead...The tank was filled with manatees, sea turtles, different sharks and fish. It was shaped like a horseshoe which started on one side and went overhead and down the other side of you as you walked thru the middle.

I don't remember seeing sharks so up close before. Their eyes are really spooky. Almost human like actually. Here is a Saw shark. Not one of Erin's Favorites b/c it reminded her of a chainsaw!

Here is another shark. They were a decent size I thought. Approximately 5 -6 feet in length. Unfortunately other pics did not come out as well since the flash interfered with the glass. This one looks like I am actually in the water under him tho huh?

Erin also visited Mars whilst at Ripley's. I have heard men are from Mars butI don't think she found any...Looking good Erin!!

After our Broadway at the Beach excitement we stopped by the Dixie Stampede to visit the horseys. They have stalls that line the outside of the building and the public can come and visit them during the day. There was a show going on and the handlers would come in a pick a horse and take him/her out and bring them back when their part was finished. A few of the guys spoke to us as they outfitted their horses and they were very nice. This is Sadie. She was my favorite, a paint horse. Everytime I would ask a question to Erin or to her she would shake her head as if in agreement or to answer yes. She was a beautiful horsey.

Here is Chico visiting with Erin. We weren't supposed to feed them, but a few stray pieces of hay found it's way to Chico's mouth. He let us pet him since we were so kind to feed him a treat!

This guy was a ham, but I can't remember his name!! Erin!! Help! Post a comment!!:) I fed him a few staws of hay as well and he agreed to pose for the camera. The horseys were so pretty and they did a great job at the Dixie Stampede!

How perfect that I post the Horseys today! It's Kathy's Birthday!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATHY!!!

Part 5 has pirates!!! Tune in tomorrow!!!!:)
