MB Vacation Part 3: HOB & Commandeering!
Tuesday was another beautiful beach day. Ariane was vacationing a bit north of us with her family the same week so we decided to get together. We ended up going to the House of Blues. There was a little over an hour wait so we ended up at the bar outside for some Jack and Cokes.
There was a bit of a mishap and a Jack and Coke jumped into poor Ari's lap so she had to buy a HOB Tshirt to get thru the evening! It was so cute tho!!! We finally got in for dinner, had a cute little South African accented Waiter and then went out on the back deck for a Raggae band. We had a great time (as usual) and I was so glad we were there at the same time.
My HOB motto: "Ain't nobody gettin' out of here without Singin' the blues!"
Later on, after 11pm, Erin and I decided it was time to commandeer some stuff on the beach that was left overnight. We dressed in black and wore our pirate pants. Smile and say "Commadore!"
Of course the night we go out to commandeer, there wasn't much to be had except a chair and some beach toys...After discussing our options we decided to take a picture of what we would have commandeered if we wanted to face the fact that some poor little child would awake and run to the beach to play with their toys only to find they had been pillaged overnight. I envisioned tears and saddness and we just couldn't do it. I suppose we are not very good pirates...except for Saturday when we were at the grocery store and some guys ahead of us forgot a bag and we took it. That was commandeering. We commandeered a Cantelope and some Dill pickles!! Bloody Pirates!!!
I am sure the Lifeguards wouldn't mind us taking some silly night pictures on their posts!! Erin had not had any rum, tho her face looks as tho she had! I on the other hand did think I saw a ship on the horizon. A ship with black sails and...haha
Part 4 coming tomorrow!
