My Birthday Recap

Well, It's Monday and I am back at work. My weekend was great, fairly low key and really relaxing. I have some pics of my birthday celebration to share. Friday night was quiet, since most of my good friends live far away and a few of my new friends here in the 'Cuse weren't able to come out. Looking at the Saturday pics it looks as tho I celebrated with my sister, my roomate, my parents and a goat...just to let you know, that wasn't the case, Mom just took the group pics I think!

FRIDAY NIGHT
This was Friday night while we waited for a table for dinner. We ended up going to the Olive Garden, which was good but we had a long wait. So what did we do? We took some pics and I opened my gifts! Here is Carolyn and I.
Stacy and Carolyn got me a Sweet talking Napoleon Dynamite pen, the book "Love in the Time of Cholera", vampire fangs, and a yummy Harvest Wreath candle from Yankee Candle Co. I had to pose with the book and look surprised since the original reaction was not caught on camera. They were silly girls.
Stacy and I. Dinner was good, then we headed downtown to a few bars. We met up with Liz and had a few with her then it was on to Ambrosia and dancing...no pics of that unfortunately...or maybe fortunately!! Debbie Downer joined us for a bit, but soon it was time to pack it in, an early morning was waiting!

SATURDAY
The next day I headed to my parents and we went out for breakfast. My sister Anne arrived and we took a jaunt to see the covered bridge and walk a bit thru the trails. It was a beautiful day (60 degrees or so!)

We saw two men walking what looked like two large breed dogs in the trails, but when they emerged, they were teo goats on leashes!! We knew the men, and chatted a bit finding out that once these goats are a grown they will carry packs for these avid hikers! "GGOOAATTT!!!!"

Anne took a pic of Carolyn, Me, Mom and Dad at the Covered Bridge. We were dressed for comfort since we had gotten up at 6am to travel...4 hours of sleep. Aarrgghh!

Me and Dad by the falls. Isn't he the cutest!!!???? The tag I was wearing (it flipped over in the pic) said "Birthday Star" I was made to wear it all day!!

Later that afternoon, My sister Linda, brother-in law Wade and Godson Evan arrived. We had horsedouvers and a champagne toast for my birthday and I opened presents. I got a little stuffed goat from Evan, Linda and Wade,(are we seeing a theme here or what?) and a castle calendar from Annie. Carolyn got me The Best Of Jimmy Fallon SNL as well as the Batman Begins PS2 game. Here is a picture of the beautiful necklace my parents got me. I love it!!

For dinner, Dad made Lasagna and Annie made a great cake! Evan was getting crazy with the balloons and we played some serious matching games. Hee-Hee! Waah-Waaaaah!!It was a nice relaxing time and the food was outstanding as usual!!

Me laughing at my nephew Evan across the table before blowing out the candles. Evan is always so much fun to have around. He is quite the ham!!

So I spent my last night of "Twenties" out on the town and the beginning of my "Thirties" with my family eating great food and relaxing. I received phone calls from family and friends that weren't able to make it/live far away which made the day even better. A fun time was had by all and I hoping that this will be the start of good things to come!
