The Winchester Mystery House, San Jose, CA
Today we went to San Jose to tour the Winchester Mystery House. Cullin and I were excited, and Mark and Caitlin came along and were good sports! We took the house tour and then toured around the garden afterwards. This place is as crazy as it seems. A window in the floor, a "Door to nowhere" and stairs that lead to a dead end are just a few of the oddities we found.
If you haven't heard of the Winchester Mystery House, head HERE to read more about the eccentric owner and her obsession with the number 13, spirits and the occult.
Here are some pics of the outside and grounds, as photographs were not allowed inside the mansion. The artistry in stained/decorative glass windows and carpentry as well as floors was amazing. I would love to go back in the summer to see the gardens in bloom and also at night when they do flashlight tours on Friday the 13ths! Very cool.

Can you find the "Door to Nowhere" in this pic. Don't let the fat girl distract you!
The front doors were beautiful. They had cost $3000 when they were installed. How much are they worth today? Um...A LOT MORE I am sure.
